CLAT Result 2020 - Check Merit List, Score and Rank

CLAT Result 2020 will be announced shortly after the completion of the exam. The final results are to be announced on July 2020. NLU to announce All India Rank (AIR) results and category-wise merit list. This is the most awaited moment for any student when their year of hard work is tested and where their career paths are anticipated.

• The result will be published as a scorecard with information including Roll Number, Category Score, Ranks, and Qualifying Status.
• Candidates must enter their CLAT Registration Number and DOB to check their scores.
• The CLAT 2020 score will be valid for the 2020-21 academic session. 
• Once the results have been announced, the Admission Committee will release the merit list for the counseling process. Check CLAT Counselling
• 21 NLUs will provide admission to candidates into UG and PG courses based on their scores.
• The CLAT Seat Distribution is based on 'merit-cum-preference'.

How to check the CLAT Result 2020?

The rank list for UG and PG programs will be published category wise. Follow the steps below to check the results:

Step 1: Visit CLAT Official website i.e. clat.ac.in

Step 2: Click on ‘CLAT Result’ at the top right.

Step 3: Enter your registered ID and password. Click Submit.

Step 4: Take a look at your CLAT Score Card and Result.

Step 5: Download and Print the Score Card for future reference.

What is mentioned in CLAT Result?

• Candidate’s Name: Name of the candidate appearing for the exam.
• Father’s Name: Examinee father's name.
• Roll Number: Unique identification number provided to the CLAT candidate and the same number is also mentioned on CLAT Admit card.
• Application Number: A pre-assigned application number filled by CLAT candidate during the registration time.
• Candidate’s Category: The category of the candidate will be mentioned which is given at the time of registration.
• CLAT Score: Total marks scored the candidate in CLAT 2020.
• All India Rank (AIR): Rank allotted to candidate in an exam at the National level.
• Category Rank (CR): Category wise rank allotted to candidate.
• NRI Rank: The rank secured by the NRI Quota candidates.
• NRI Sponsored Rank: The rank secured by the NRI Sponsored Quota candidates.

CLAT Merit List 2020

CLAT Merit List is to be issued by the CLAT Committee in PDF format. The merit list will include the name of examinees according to the marks/ranks they have received in the law entrance examination. The following details/statistics will be provided in the merit list:

• Individual performance with the state rank
• Total number of candidates participating in the exam.
• Standards for which candidates will be selected.

What is listed on the CLAT Merit List?

The details mentioned in the Merit list are listed below:

• Candidate’s Name: Name of the person who's appearing for exam.
• Date of Birth: Date of birth of the candidate.
• Merit Number: Marks scored by the candidate in the Merit List.
• Roll Number: It is the unique identification number provided to the candidate.
• AIR (All India Rank): It is the national rank secured by the candidate in the exam.
• State Rank: It is the state rank secured by the candidate in the exam.
• Score: Total Marks achieved by the candidate.
• Legal Aptitude Score: Total marks scored in the Legal Aptitude section of the law entrance exam.

CLAT Tie Breaking Rules

There may be a situation in which two or more candidates obtain equal marks. The following procedure and order will be followed by the CLAT committee to break the tie.

CLAT 2020 Tie-Breaking for UG:

• Higher marks in the CLAT 2020 component/section on legal aptitude.
• Upper Age.
• A computerised draw of lots.

After CLAT Results 2020

Candidates have to participate in the Counselling Process conducted by CLAT authorities after the announcement of results. Candidates are given admissions to UG and PG courses offered at institutes/colleges that accept CLAT scores through this process.

The distribution of seats is done on the basis of merit-cum-preference. This means that admissions are made on the basis of the score/ranking of CLAT 2020 along with the college preference indicated by the candidate in their application form.
