CLAT Result 2020, Score, Rank and Merit List


CLAT Result 2020 will be announced shortly after the completion of the exam. The final results are to be announced on 24 May 2020. NLU to announce All India Rank (AIR) results and category-wise merit list. This is the most awaited moment for any student when their year of hard work is tested and where their career paths are anticipated.

CLAT result link will be made available on this page to allow students to experience a smooth result checking process. Candidates can download their results directly from the Juris Academy website.

• The result will be published as a scorecard with information including Roll Number, Category Score, Ranks, and Qualifying Status.

• Candidates must enter their CLAT Registration Number and DOB to check their scores.

• The CLAT 2020 score will be valid for the 2020-21 academic session.

• Once the results have been announced, the Admission Committee will release the merit list for the counseling process.

• 21 NLUs will provide admission to candidates into UG and PG courses based on their scores.

• The CLAT Seat Distribution is based on ' merit-cum-preference. '

How to check the CLAT 2020 Result?

The rank list for UG and PG programs will be published category wise. Follow the steps below to check the results:

Step 1: Visit CLAT Official website i.e.clat.ac.in

Step 2: Click on ‘CLAT Result’ at the top right.

Step 3: Enter your registered ID and password. Click Submit.

Step 4: Take a look at your CLAT Score Card and Result.

Step 5: Download and Print the Score Card for future reference.

Note: The CLAT scorecard is a mandatory document that is required for final admissions at the time of counselling. Keep this safe for future correspondence.

CLAT Merit List

CLAT Merit List is to be issued by the CLAT Committee in PDF format. The merit list will include names of examine according to the marks/ranks they have received in the law entrance examination. The following details/statistics will be provided in the merit list:

• Total number of candidates participating in the exam.
• Standards for which candidates will be selected.

CLAT Tie Breaking Rules

There may be a situation in which two or more candidates obtain equal marks. The following procedure and order will be followed by the CLAT committee to break the tie.

CLAT 2020 Tie-Breaking for UG:

• Higher marks in the CLAT 2020 component/section on legal aptitude.
• Upper Age.
• A computerised draw of lots.

CLAT 2020 Tie-Breaking for PG:

• Upper Age.
• A computerised draw of lots.

After CLAT Results 2020

Candidates have to participate in the centralized counselling conducted by CLAT authorities after the announcement of results. Candidates are given admissions to UG and PG courses offered at institutes/colleges that accept CLAT scores through this process.

The distribution of seats is done on the basis of merit-cum-preference. This means that admissions are made on the basis of the score/ranking of CLAT 2020 along with the college preference indicated by the candidate in their application form.
