The test is conducted by 21 participating law universities for admissions to their UG and PG degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M). CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2020 will be conducted by NUSRL at Ranchi on 10 May.
CLAT 2020 will be an offline exam lasts for 2 hours. The UG programmes paper includes 200 Multiple choice Based questions of 1 mark each. For the PG Programmes, there are 100 MCQs carrying 1 mark each and 2 essay type questions of 25 marks each. Both UG and PG programmes have a negative marking of 0.25.
All candidates must have completed a qualifying or equivalent examination with a total of 45% marks (for UG applicants) and 55% marks (for PG applicants).
Syllabus for UG programme : English Including Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.
Syllabus for PG programme : Constitutional law and other subjects such a Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, IPR and Jurisprudence.
There are 21 NLUs accepts CLAT 2020 score. Other than the NLUs, there are many other Private Universities / Colleges that accept CLAT score.
